Birthday weekend!

Sorry I didn't blog the past couple of nights, I took a bit of a computer break for my birthday!  Really though, a couple of late nights didn't lend to blogging!

Friday night DH and I went to the movies to see The Hobbit!  I remember the story from when I was a child, my dad an avid reader and Tolkien fan, I read it again as a teenager, and was really looking forward to seeing it!  It didn't disappoint!  We saw it in IMAX 3D which was awesome!  I watched with wonder as middle earth ran by, just as I'd imagined it would look like while reading the book.  The only thing though, I'm caught being disappointed that it wasn't the whole story and the excitement of awaiting the next instalment!  I of course, still had M&M peanuts and popcorn with butter!

Yesterday was my 34th birthday!  We started out by going to the local open kitchen for breakfast.  I had bacon and hash browns with my poached eggs!  Yum!  We then went shopping and house dreaming, as we love doing (currently we live in my childhood home with my mother who can't really live alone and isn't quite ready to move into something smaller).  We are getting close to wanting to buy our own place, so the dreaming is easy and often!

Dinner last night was at Tucker's Marketplace.  One of my favorite buffet restaurants and one of the few places around that still offer free dinner on your birthday!  I'd opened up the invitation to family and friends and we ended up with a party of 16!  It was so much fun!  I really was glad to have such a turn out!

I ate my fill of course!  I avoided all of the harder things to track, stuff in sauces, mixed salads etc.. I started with a salad (they have an amazing balsamic vinaigrette!) then roast beef with yorkshire pudding and gravy, a little bit of pasta with ham, veggies and alfredo sauce then two plates of dessert!  I had 2 drinks, rye and gingerale.

I did get on the computer at one point, long enough to notice that even google new it was my birthday!

Today we cleaned up, then took the kids to Square One shopping centre to run around and walk off our heavy meal last night.  I got a pair of shoes for work with birthday money and we had Mr Sub for lunch.  I was so proud of hubby!  He looked up the points for a burger and fries, then Taco Bell, then decided on a pizza sub with lots of veggies!  He really is doing awesome with Weight Watchers!  I'm so proud!

    1. Thanks a lot! I've really learned that not tracking everything I'm just lying to myself! Tracking is a part of the whole package. I f I want this, I have to be in for all of it!
