Recuperating and today's events

Well the kids are feeling better thank God!  We're such horrible parents!  We don't believe that every illness needs to be treated with antibiotics.  So obviously, we watched and waited for the kids to get better, and they didn't.  We took then to the doctor and she prescribes antibiotics and the kids are better in a day.  I feel so bad that we let them suffer when antibiotics could have fixed it!  I guess that's the eternal debate isn't it!  We just don't know!  I still feel bad though!

I woke up this morning after a good night sleep feeling still unwell.  So I didn't go to work again.  I'm now feeling almost better after doing nothing all day.  That being said, I'm in bed and it's 8:30 pm!  Tom and I did venture out once today.  We went to the public school where we want Lara to go and registered her!  *tear*  I can't believe she'll be going into Junior Kindergarden!!!!  I'm so not ready for this!

The office staff at the school were helpful and we felt welcomed.  The principal even came out and introduced herself to us and told us a little bit about the school.  The school had a great vibe and we left there knowing we were doing the right thing.  My family I'm sure doesn't understand why we decided not to put the girls into the Catholic school system, but we have our reasons and they will understand it in time.

While we were out we went to the car dealership where we've been negotiating a car load and signed the papers on our new (to us) car!  They worked miracles for us and we are very happy with the loan terms and the car we are getting!

It's a 2007 Kia Rondo with seriously low km, fully loaded and a bumper to bumper warranty!  Everything works in it too!  Lol!

We went to East Side Mario's for an early dinner then came home to clean out the van to trade in and get the girls ready for bed early.  We are all exhausted!

  1. Hope the sickness leaves your home this weekend and stays away for awhile. It's hard when the kids are sick! And I understand what you're talking about doing the waiting game. Should we go? Should we wait? Inevitably, if you would've taken them in 2 days prior the doctor would've said, "It's just a viral infection that needs to run it's course." Ah yes, as a mama, I've been in those shoes!

Congrats on your new car! Exciting!

    1. I know, either way I'd be in trouble!

      Thanks! We love it!
