Physio and the bionic Eva!

My Physiotherapist squeezed me in today when she heard I was in the accident last weekend!  I was told she was totally booked this week but she took pity on me (we go way back :P).  She moved things around so I didn't have to wait another week!  She says she thinks I have a bit of a slipped disc and I did do something to my pelvis again. :(  I'll be seeing her or the massage therapist 3-4 times a week for the next 6, so my lunch hours are totally not my own for a while!  She also gave me a TENS machine, a kind of nerve stimulator/pain reliever and a great new heating pad.  Paid for my the car insurance of course.  I was a little skeptical about the TENS machine, but it really works!  I'm sitting up in bed!  Comfortably!

The TENS machine as per Wikipedia "TENS - Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is a non-invasive, low-risk nerve stimulation intended to reduce pain, both acute and chronic. "

Pretty neat!  I put the 2 electrodes over my lower pelvis, either side of my spine, the the other two a few inches above that.  It feels like someone is holding an electric toothbrush up to my back and moving it around.  No pain!  Pretty cool!

We had an impromptu dessert tonight!

My 3 year old daughter Lara was so excited about shepherd's pie she was dancing around the kitchen chanting Shepherd's pie!  Shepherd's pie!  My sister asked if she wanted some?  "Yeah!  Yeah!"  My sister picked her up and showed her what was for dinner and Lara just melted in disappointment!  She just started bawling!  "Mama!  You made the wrong kind of pumpkin pie!  She ran over to me and threw herself in my arms and buried her head in my shoulder, she told me I broke her heart!

Daddo, the tuff guy, got up and went to the store and bought a pumpkin pie, lol!  And Pssshhtt, in a cup (what Lara has always called aerosol whipped cream, lol!  Man he's whipped!

    1. It works pretty well! I do get squirmy when I turn it on too fast though! I squeal! My hubby laughs so hard at me!
